June 30th Sheamus’ Visa Situation
Post Discussion: Add / View Comments? (6)
Post Categories: General News,Miscellaneous,Sheamus News. Published by Sabrina

With the latest talk about Wade Barrett’s & Drew McIntyre’s visa situation there has been some speculation that WWE Champion Sheamus may get caught up in the same work visa situation. Here’s a little something regarding the situation.

- Sheamus, who was signed to a contract around the same time as Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett, does not appear to be having the same visa issued as the other two. It’s not currently known if this is because WWE caught it or because he identified the issue to them. Barrett and McIntyre have both been pulled from TV due to their work visas expiring.

June 30th (2009) marks Sheamus’ first anniversary with World Wrestling Entertainment so I just wanted to write up a little bit in honor of this day because it seemed like just yesterday that the Irish Superstar graced our TV Screens for the first time. With his unique appearance and his aggressive in Ring-Style he attracted a lot of interest and quickly gained his own little group of followers.

There’s no doubt about it; Sheamus had one of the best first years ever. He already feuded with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H and his biggest accomplishment – winning the WWE Championship – not once, but twice! If he can accomplish all of that and more in just one year, what can he accomplish in the coming years? Some might say he already accomplished everything there is to but we and the man himself beg to differ! I want to end this with a quote that our favorite Superstar once said in an interview:

I became champion within a couple of months but that’s only the start for me as, ultimately, I want to be known as the greatest WWE superstar there has ever been. And I believe I will be.”

For us you already are the greatest Superstar there is and with that being said here’s to many, many more years with WWE! I wish Sheamus nothing but success and happiness within the Company. We’re definitely supporting you along the way!

Happy One Year Anniversary, Sheamus! We are proud of you!

Sheamus comes to the ring and he has something to say. Sheamus says that he watched the footage of the beating of the Chairman a few times and Sheamus says that he is disgusted. As the WWE Champion, he felt that it was his responsibility to make a statement on behalf of the company. Sheamus says ‘The Champ is Here’. Sheamus says that the Nexus lads got involved in their match, but Sheamus says that we know he would have won the match. Sheamus says that one important factor came out of this. John Cena is no longer the number one contender for his WWE Title. Sheamus mentions that Cena used his rematch. Sheamus says that he doesn’t have to look at the tacky orange t-shirt. He does not have to listen to Cena’s slogans. Now he doesn’t have to hear the fans chant ‘Cena’ like a bunch of parrots. Sheamus says that he does not have to hear Cena make fun of his beautiful Irish skin by being called a Human Jar of Mayonnaise. Sheamus says that he hates John Cena. Sheamus tells the fella that he can get to the back of the queue because he will never get another shot at the gold again.

John Cena’s music plays and he is wearing his tacky orange t-shirt.

Sheamus wants to know what Cena is doing in the ring because he is not getting another shot at the WWE Title again. Cena says that he knows. Cena says that he did not come out for that. Cena wants Sheamus’ help. Cena says that everyone saw how Sheamus won the WWE Title and they saw how Sheamus retained the title. Cena mentions the Jimbrones called the Nexus. Cena says that they almost ended his career. Cena asks Sheamus who he thinks they are coming after next. The human jar of mayonnaise, the giant block of cream cheese, Sheamus. Cena admits that Sheamus doesn’t like him but he knows that Sheamus can fight. Cena wants Sheamus to help him right now. He wants everyone to fight side by side. Cena wants the Nexus to come out . . .

June 29th Money In The Bank Preview

WWE Champion Sheamus vs. John Cena (Steel Cage Match)

In WWE, steel remains a confining element, ensuring that competitors cannot flee at the first flicker of danger. When WWE Champion Sheamus defends his title against John Cena in a Steel Cage Match at Money in the Bank, however, those entwined metal shafts will also serve to prevent the intrusion of danger – principally, the seven hazards of The Nexus.

The first hazard on Sheamus’ mind, though, remains his rival. During Fatal 4-Way, the Irishman captured his second WWE Title by defeating Cena, Randy Orton and Edge, thanks in no small part to the interference of The Nexus. Those distractions will presumably disappear, though, when The Celtic Warrior and the former champion meet alone inside the unforgiving structure.

For Cena, the past few months have been like enduring a marathon while competitors repeatedly hurl themselves in your path. Not only has Sheamus thrown down the gauntlet, seven-time WWE Champion Cena has been forced to tolerate the attacks of The Nexus as they attempt to leave an indelible mark on the landscape of WWE.

If Cena does somehow manage to overcome Sheamus, will he also be capable of navigating any traps laid by WWE NXT’s rebellious graduates? As for the Irishman, there’s no question that he has the desire and wherewithal to win, but can the relative rookie really hope to emerge from a Steel Cage Match victorious against a seasoned veteran who still appears to be hitting his stride? One thing is guaranteed: There must be a winner.

To find out, be sure to catch all the action live Sunday, July 18 at 8/7 CT only on pay-per-view.

WWE Champion Sheamus vs. John Cena in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship ended in a No-Contest

John Cena and Sheamus went to a no contest inside a Steel Cage for the WWE Championship. A great main event match. NXT ran in to cause the no contest. The entire locker room came out and brawled with NXT.

Steel Cage Tag Team Match: WWE Champion Sheamus & Edge vs. John Cena & Randy Orton ended in a No-Contest

Sheamus out to a chorus of boos. Edge out to a good pop before degrading into boos. Orton out to the second biggest pop of the night. Cena out to a huge pop consisting of women and children. Decent match with lots of the faces getting beaten down until the hot tag was made. Last minutes came when all four hit the finishers, when all of a sudden the NXTers came out and filled the cage taking out everybody!

Steel Cage Tag Team Match: WWE Champion Sheamus & Edge vs. John Cena & Randy Orton ended in a No-Contest

Sheamus was clearly despised by those in attendance. Edge and Orton got a damn good pop and John Cena came out to a literal thunderous ovation. The match was pretty good with a ton of near falls and then suddenly the NXT Rookies invaded.

The crowd was in a near riot as the rookies (minus Wade Barrett) pummeled Orton and Cena while Edge and Sheamus ran for the tall grass.
