The new WWE Champion, Randy Orton makes his way to the ring after being introduced by Justin Roberts.
Sheamus comes out and interrupts things. He says that for the sake of the WWE Universe, he cannot let this happen. Sheamus says that Orton does not deserve this moment. Sheamus says that twice he has been champion and twice it has been stolen from him. The first time was in the Elimination Chamber and the second time was last night in the Six Pack Challenge. Sheamus says the fans are happy now. Sheamus tells Randy that he has never beaten him one-on-one for the WWE Title. Sheamus says that he will not stand back and watch after last night. He calls Orton’s win pathetic.
Orton tells Sheamus that considering he won the title in a Fatal Four Way with Nexus’ interference and the last time they met one-on-one, Sheamus got disqualified. Orton says that since Sheamus has never beaten him, the only thing that is pathetic is him. Orton says that Sheamus is entitled to a rematch. Orton tells Sheamus to get it quickly because if he gets in his face any more, it won’t be a rematch he will be getting, but a punt to the skull.
Sheamus asks Orton if he is afraid after the look on his face and when he acts like a snake. Sheamus says that he isn’t afraid when it looks like Orton has a tantrum. If Orton tries, he will kick his head off.

Josh Mathews interviewed WWE champion Sheamus. He said Sheamus was at a huge disadvantage but Sheamus asked him if he looked like he was concerned. He said he was WWE champion because he wins, no matter what the stipulation match is. Sheamus said that he always leaves with the WWE title and no matter what the match is, it suits him. He said tonight was going to leave with a Throw Kick to the skull and Sheamus leaving with the WWE title on his shoulder and a smile on his face.
SIX PACK ELIMINATION CHALLENGE
Ring entrances in order are Sheamus, Cena, Edge, Jericho, Barrett (No Nexus) and finally Orton for the big pop.
Everyone battled at the bell. It powdered down to Jericho working over Orton but Cena, who Jericho had tossed out of the ring, returned. Cena and Jericho faced off. Jericho shoved Cena into a corner but was caught with the RKO and pinned.
Chris Jericho has been eliminated.
Cena even asked if that was really three. According to his claims, he’s done with WWE. Jericho received a huge “Y2J” chant as he exited. Edge looked like he was screwed with the idea being that they had plans to work together. They focused for a long time on Jericho’s exit with the rest of the match stopping.
When they started again, Barrett found himself circled by the other four as they got to give him the beatdown the Nexus has given all of them. They dispatched Barrett out of the ring. Cena and Orton then tossed Sheamus and Edge out. Orton and Cena faced off but Barrett attacked them. The heels all began beating down the babyfaces. Barrett tried to get the heels to work together but they wanted nothing to do with him. They doubled on him.

Night Of Champions Preview |
WWE Championship Six Pack Elimination Challenge
At one of WWE’s most prestigious pay-per-views, Night of Champions, Sheamus must defend his coveted WWE Title in a Six Pack Challenge against Raw’s top Superstars: John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho and Nexus leader Wade Barrett. Just days before the event, Raw’s anonymous General Manager decreed that this bout would feature elimination rules.
The rules of a Six Pack Elimination Challenge are simple: A sextet of Superstars collide in the ring, with eliminations determined via pinfall or submission. The winner is the last competitor standing.
After successfully retaining his title at SummerSlam (though Randy Orton won via disqualification), The Celtic Warrior has more than once felt the venomous wrath of The Viper. In response to this continued brutality, a frustrated Sheamus addressed the WWE Universe on Raw, urging the anonymous General Manager to deny Orton a rematch as punishment for WWE’s Apex Predator’s animalistic aggression.
Agreeing that Sheamus deserves more respect than he’s been receiving – both from Orton and from the WWE Universe – the GM let the irritable Irishman sit atop a throne for the evening to survey a series of matches. At the end of the night, he would hand-pick his Night of Champions opponent.
Sheamus tried to take advantage of the GM’s generosity, ultimately deciding to take a month-long respite from competition. However, the devious Dubliner was immediately met with a surprise announcement from the anonymous head of Raw: At Night of Champions, Sheamus will defend his title in a high-jeopardy Six Pack Elimination Challenge against deserving former World Champions – Cena, Orton, Edge and Jericho – as well as Barrett, now allowed to pursue the WWE Championship after the Raw GM lifted The Nexus’ title match ban. Now that the season one NXT winner is in the hunt for his first WWE Title, the truce between The Nexus and The Celtic Warrior is officially over.
Although a loss to John Morrison just weeks prior to Night of Champions seemed to cost Jericho his spot in this match, Raw’s GM granted the first-ever Undisputed Champion an opportunity to compete for the WWE Title – if he could defeat The Hart Dynasty in a Steel Cage Handicap Match. After a hard-fought battle, Jericho bested Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith, securing his chance to reclaim golden glory while simultaneously feeding his massive ego.
Not to be outdone on the ego front, an irate Edge has not only vowed to capture WWE Title at Night of Champions, but has also pledged to stage a “hold out” after winning Sheamus’ championship until the WWE Universe and the Raw GM show him the respect he feels he deserves. If The Ultimate Opportunist wins at Night of Champions, the WWE Universe might have seen the last of him and the WWE Title for quite some time.
Will Edge have the chance to honor his promise? More importantly, can the cantankerous Celt cling to the WWE Title yet again? To find out, tune in to Night of Champions, this Sunday, only on pay-per-view.

3 Count: Night Of Champions Edition |
Who has enough momentum to defy the odds?
► Sheamus defied the odds when he won his second WWE Title in a Fatal Four-Way Match. However, with Wade Barrett in this contest, The Celtic Warrior can’t rely on The Nexus to help him retain the title this time.
► In recent weeks, Randy Orton has dished out an RKO to each of his opponents in the Six Pack Elimination Challenge. WWE’s Apex Predator can strike at any moment, and the RKO is so unpredictable that paired with his momentum, The Viper may be an unstoppable force.
► Although Chris Jericho’s recent slump resulted in losing his original spot in this challenge, he earned it back after beating The Hart Dynasty in a Steel Cage Match. With a great deal of momentum now in his favor, he claims that if he doesn’t win the WWE Title, he will quit.
Prediction: Although the elimination style match brings plenty of unpredictability, it’s the perfect environment for Randy Orton and the always spontaneous RKO. With the ability to strike fast and hard, The Viper is coiled to come out on top.

Sheamus comes to Chicago For Night of Champions |
Every major title will be on the line when the WWE returns to the Allstate Arena on Sunday, September 19th for the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view. The main event will be a “Six-Pack challenge” where 6 superstars will be competing to take home the WWE Championship Belt. Among the six competitors will be Stephen Farrelly AKA Sheamus, the current reigning WWE Champion. I spoke to the 32-year old superstar from Dublin, Ireland to talk about his return to Chicago and his meteoric rise to the top of the WWE.
Good afternoon sir.
Elliott, how are you doing? What’s going on?
I’m doing really good. This is an honor and a pleasure for me. I’ve spoken to a lot of WWE Superstars but this is the first time I’ve gotten to speak with the reigning WWE Champion. Thanks for taking the time.
My pleasure, fella, my pleasure. I’m pretty excited; actually, to come in to Chicago for a pay-per-view because Chicago itself is great for wrestling and fervent for the WWE. The fans are electric, really loud, very passionate. It’s one of the best atmospheres to work in in the United States right now. I’m pretty pumped to go in there as champion, and also in a major pay-per-view like “Night of Champions” so I’m looking forward to it.
Awesome. Now you’re in a “six-pack challenge” with John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge and Wade Barrett. I know you’re a man short right now, but what are some of the challenges you have as a WWE superstar in trying to put together the best match that you can?
I think for me, champion or no champion, it’s always every WWE superstar’s goal to draw the best match and that’s what makes our shows so good. I mean at the same time we’re working together, all the matches are working together to create a great show. But also the fact is that we are also competing to put on the best match of the show, whether you’re champion or not. There are a lot of elements in my match, especially as the WWE Champion, it’s very important for me to try and hold on to it. There are a lot of guys and a target on my back. When you’re #1 you hold on to the most coveted prize in the WWE and everybody wants it. It always gets harder each and every month.
So the general manager’s got me in there with 5 other guys and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t like pasty white guys from Ireland ‘cuz he seems to be having a go at me every single turn I do, so obstacle after obstacle so it’s going to be interesting, (it’s) Wade Barrett’s first pay-per-view, I mean he’s kind of seen as maybe the rookie of the show. But he’s not a rookie either; he’s been a huge impact. And there are the likes of Edge and Chris Jericho – well not Chris Jericho, he’s gone so — John Cena, Randy Orton and myself, and whoever else. Knowing our general manager, he’ll probably put Kali in there, or something, probably Mark Henry or Ted Debiase, something like that. So it’s a lot of guys and lot of competition and it’s going to make for an interesting bout, but I’m sure we’re gonna put on the match of the night. Then again, there are so many matches it’s going to be a quality night of entertainment. And I’m pretty sure, like always, that the crowd is gonna go home happy.
