September 30th Sheamus’ “Hellish” predictions
Post Discussion: Add / View Comments? (2)
Post Categories: WWE.com. Published by Jasmina

Sheamus might be busy getting ready for his clash with Christian this Sunday, but there’s another match at WWE Hell in a Cell that the ravenous “Great White” will be eyeing with great interest: Randy Orton’s battle with World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry inside Satan’s Structure.

“To be honest with you, I feel sorry for both men going into that Cell,” Sheamus told WWE.com, drawing from his own experience unsuccessfully challenging The Viper for the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell one year ago. “I came out of the Cell a different person. Nothing can prepare you for how brutal it is. If Mark Henry continues to do what he’s been doing, I don’t think Randy Orton stands a chance.”

If anyone knows the destruction The World’s Strongest Man is capable of, it’s The Celtic Warrior. In July, Sheamus was the first Superstar to willingly stand in the behemoth’s path, and absorbed the full force of Henry’s fury in a chaotic encounter at this year’s SummerSlam. However, Sheamus added, one would be unwise to underestimate WWE’s Apex Predator inside the unforgiving confines of The Devil’s Playground.

“That RKO can come out of anywhere, fella,” Sheamus said of Orton’s devastating signature maneuver that he knows all too well. “And if it does, it’s lights out.”

WWE Hell in a Cell could also mean “lights out” for Christian, a bitter Superstar that has gotten under Sheamus’ iconic pale skin over the past several weeks with his incessant pleas for “one more match.”

“He’s been whining like a little girl since he lost the World Heavyweight Championship, and I’m just having a bit of fun right now putting a lid on his mouth,” Sheamus said. “I’m doing what everybody wants to do. I’m shutting Christian up.”

After he’s done silencing Christian – preferably with a well-timed Brogue Kick – Sheamus said he plans on going after the World Heavyweight Championship, whether it’s Henry or Orton that walks out of Hell in a Cell with the illustrious prize.

“That’s why I’m here,” Sheamus affirmed. “I’m here to be successful and I’m here to be the World Heavyweight Champion. “

September 27th Hell in a Cell: Sheamus vs. Christian

For months, Christian has called for “one more match.” However, this isn’t exactly the match he hoped for.

Instead of getting another World Heavyweight Championship opportunity, he’ll have to do battle with The Celtic Warrior Sheamus.

WWE COO Triple H made the match on the Sept. 26 edition of Raw, after Christian threatened him with a lawsuit for how he’s been running WWE. The Game is just another in a long list of those who have been forced to listen to Christian’s pleas for one more match.
But with such a formidable opponent, could Christian live to regret being given this match?

Sheamus is a former WWE Champion, former U.S. Champion, the 2010 King of the Ring – and perhaps the toughest Superstar in all of WWE. If there’s anyone who knows what Sheamus is capable of it’s Triple H – who was brutally attacked from behind by Sheamus with a steel pipe in 2010.

Although some may question Triple H’s decision making as of late, if you’re tired of hearing from Christian, you’ve got to love this call by The Game. If anyone can finally silence Christian, there’s no better choice than The Celtic Warrior.

With both Superstars hungry for a World Title opportunity, they each will be looking to shine on the pay-per-view stage. Is Christian just one Brogue Kick away from falling out of the World Title picture? Or, will he find a way to stop “The Great White”?

To find out, watch WWE Hell in a Cell, exclusively on pay-per-view on this Sunday.

IC Title Battle Royal: Cody vs Zeke vs Gabriel vs Bryan vs JoMo vs Ted vs Drew vs Riley vs Sin Cara vs Sheamus

Most of the wrestlers in the ring, Sin Cara comes out to his music, as does Sheamus.

The faces go after the heels, but Cody slides out under the ropes. Drew is quickly eliminated and is pissed. He gets into it with the refs. The second Sin Cara out to the ring, pulls original Sin Cara out by his ankles and gets in the ring. Bryan immediately eliminates Sin Cara #2 (no little poof of blond hair in the back). Flying hurricanrana from Sin Cara #1 to #2. He’s pissed that he couldn’t get back in.

Ted goes out and forces Cody back into the Match. Gabriel over the top, skins the can and pulls Riley out to the apron by Gabriel. Sheamus eliminates both from the apron with a brogue kick and blows. Big Zeke then eliminates both JoMo and Bryan together as if it’s nothing.

Zeke and Sheamus start fighting in the center of the ring as Ted works over Cody in a corner. Ted out of the corner and attacks Sheamus. Ted ends up sitting up top and Cody pushes him off and out with. Cody then goes after Sheamus. Cody on Zeke. Zeke sends Cody over, but Cody is able to keep his feet up. Zeke rushes Cody who low bridges the top rope sending Zeke out to the floor.

Clotheslines to Cody. Sheamus gets Cody up for the Celtic cross. Christian out to ringside to mess with Sheamus. Cody ducks Sheamus’ brogue kick. This was obviously supposed to send Sheamus to the apron, but he got all tied up in the ropes and it looks like a comedy of errors seeing Sheamus trying to get where he needed to be. Cody’s mask comes off and he rushes Sheamus with it, but Sheamus blocks the blow and nails Cody with a head butt! A kick to Christian outside, but then Cody knocks Sheamus from the apron to win and retain.

Winner
– Cody

After the Match Christian pushes Sheamus into a post. Christian goes off on Sheamus about how it feels to lose a Title.

September 24th WWE.com: Sheamus is ‘kicking’ Christian out of contention

For months now, Christian has been telling anyone who would listen that he deserves “one more match” for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, in light of the numerous setbacks he has suffered at the hands of Sheamus in recent weeks, perhaps the disgruntled Superstar should instead turn his focus to The Celtic Warrior – before there is nothing left of him to challenge a World Champion.

On the Sept. 9 edition of SmackDown, Sheamus emerged to ridicule Christian’s continued insistence that he deserves another title opportunity, calling him a “mangy dog” and ordering him out of the ring. When the angry Superstar returned to exact revenge during his Irish foe’s match, Sheamus nearly took him out with the Celtic Cross.

One week later, Christian & Wade Barrett lost a tag team match to Sheamus & Justin Gabriel. Although it was Gabriel who got the pin on Barrett, “The Great White” invited his fuming adversary back into the ring to finish things between them. Christian, a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, would lose major ground in the eyes of those picking the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title by not rising to the challenge.

Two days later at Night of Champions, Sheamus interrupted yet another plea for “one more match,” blasting his complaining prey with an earth-shattering Brogue Kick. Although this may have made things beautiful in Buffalo for the WWE Universe, it continued to lower Christian’s appearance as a serious challenger for the World Title.

His descent was only hastened one day later on Raw SuperShow, when Sheamus’ Four-Man Tag Team reigned supreme over the team that included his irate adversary.

When Christian did finally get “one more match” against the newly-crowned World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry – a Lumberjack Match on the Sept. 23 edition of SmackDown – the first Irish-born WWE Champion was there to halt his escape one more time.

This led the outmatched challenger not only to get pinned by the enraged champion, but also suffer the devastating power of The World’s Strongest Slam.

It’s futile to assume that Christian’s constant rants for “one more match” have ended with his loss to Henry. However, before he goes down that road yet again, he might want to address the red-haired roadblock that continues to thwart his golden journey.

Sheamus vs. Heath Slater

They circle eachother and Slater talks some trash before the initial lock-up. Sheamus quickly pushes Heath into a corner, then releases the hold. They go for another lock-up, but Slater goes for the back of Sheamus, gut hold and a side headlock, which Sheamus quickly fends off of whipping Slater towards the ropes, and shoulderblocking The One Man Southern Rock Band on his way back. They yell at eachother, Slater pushes Sheamus, and the Celtic Warrior answers with a forearm. After that, Sheamus goes for his hammer clubs in the ropes and the knee on the apron. Is all Sheamus as he slams Slater’s head against a turnbuckle and punishes him with repeated hammer fists in the corner. When the ref breaks it up though, Slater finds an opening with an elbow, a kick to the gut and a reverse spinning neckbreaker for two. Slater then chokes Sheamus on the second rope, kicks him in the back of the leg and applies another rest hold. Sheamus fights back, but Slater counters, ducks a clothesline and hits a jumping neckbreaker for a one count. He covers again and only one. Sheamus stand up with a livid look on his face, Slater stays paralyzed and eats two double-arm clotheslines. He is whipped to the corner, tries to fight back with a boot but after he suffers a tilt-a-whirl scoop powerslam. Sheamus hits a rope attack, a running knee and a top rope shoulderblock. He signals for the Brogue Kick, hits it, and this one is over.

Winner: Sheamus via pinfall

We go backstage as Christian is talking with Sheamus. Before Sheamus says anything, Christian gives him a potato, saying that he knows Irish folks love potatos. Captain Charisma says that while Sheamus kicked him in the face at Night of Champions, what he said still goes, and that after Christian wins the title back, Sheamus will be the first one to get a title match, so he asks if Sheamus will be there the lumberjack match. Sheamus says that of course he will, and he appreciates the gift. Chrsitan walks off, and Sheamus takes a bite, and then spits it off, saying that that potato isn’t from Ireland, it’s from Idaho.

Then the lumberjacks go all after Henry, who ultimately fights them all off, and throws Baretta into half the roster, as Christian looks terrified from the outside. He tries to escape from the match, but Sheamus comes from the back and puts him back into the ring. Mark Henry quickly delivers World’s Strongest Slam, and this one’s over.

Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Mark Henry via pinfall

Sheamus & Kofi & Evan & Jusin vs Christian, Otunga & wade & McGillicutty

Gabriel and McGillicutty lock up. McGillicutty runs the ropes into a drop kick. Kofi tags in and takes McGillicutty off his feet for two. Kofi holds McGillicutty out, tags in Evan and feeds McGillicutty to Evan for two. Side slam to Evan, then stomps. Inverted atomic drop, then Otunga tags and tackles Evan. Wade tags in and works Evan. Backbreaker on Evan for two, then Christian tags in. Christian up in Sheamus’ face, then back to choke Evan in the ropes. Elbows to Christian, and he elbows back before eating a high knee! Otunga tags in and hits a cheap shot on Kofi to knock him off the apron. Otunga goes for a short clothesline, but Evan ducks and tags in Sheamus behind Otunga’s back.

Sheamus takes Otunga down, then backbreaker on Otunga, but everyone in to break it all up. Kofi flies and takes wade out in a big way. Sheamus sets up for Otunga, then realizes Christian is going to spear. Christian flees and Sheamus sets up for the Celtic cross on Otunga, looking straight into Christian’s eyes. Sheamus pins for three.

Winners: Sheamus & Gabriel & Evan & Kofi

All four celebrate in the ring together.

Backstage rows of the roster watching monitors. Miz and R-Truth are shown running up the ramp. Just as Trip gets to where the boys are watching, Stanford stops Trip to find out what he can about the firing. Yelling and screaming from the boys as R-Truth and Miz attack Trip from behind. The wrestlers get R-Truth and Miz off Trip. Miz and R-Truth each behind held by about five other wrestlers are thrown out at Trip’s orders. Regal was one who threw R-Truth out, Brodus Clay helped throw Miz out. Trip then stomped off in a huff.

September 19th Night of Champions Coverage

Digital Photos Screen Captures

Christian’s music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring wearing street clothes.

Christian has a mic in hand and he looks out at the crowd. He says Night of Champions, Buffalo, New York. He fills the crowd in on what he’s been up to. He’s talked to Teddy Long and Triple H, and they’re too self absorbed to do the right thing, so he’ll do the right thing. He’s been in the business a long time, and racked up a lot of great matches that people will talk about for years to come, so he deserves one more match to become the World Champion, so he should get to face whoever wins the Henry/Orton match, immediately after the finish tonight. He takes a shot at Buffalo fans, telling them they’ve never won the Superbowl, they’ll probably never win the Superbowl, but he’s won it, twice. He’s a champion, this is the Night of Champions, and he wants everyone who feels his pain and joins his cause to stand up and say he deserves one more match. The crowd before to chant one more match as well, until they’re interrupted by Sheamus’ music.

Sheamus makes his way down to the ring, also wearing street clothes, and also with a mic. He says Christian’s right, this is the Night of Champions, not the night of the squinty eyed, crying, moaning, complaining little weasel. Sheamus has been a World Champion too and he’d give his Uncle Ferguson’s lucky green testicle to be here tonight. Christian says he’s got the testicles to stand up and tell the world he deserves one more match. Sheamus says he’s got a good point, and he’s sure his uncle would agree with him too. So if Sheamus can help Christian get a match, and he wins the title, he’ll have to give Sheamus the first match. Sheamus gets the crowd to chant one more match, but surprises Christian with a big bicycle kick, laying him out. Sheamus smiles and gets a big pop from the crowd.
