Fresh from the Oven: WWE Cookies! |
It’s the time of the year that traditional Girl Scout Cookies fundraisers begin. And we at WWE.com are suckers for a good box of Thin Mints or Samoas!
So in tribute to our favorite Girl Scout Cookie brands, we asked the WWE Universe on Twitter to post their ideas for cookie brands based on WWE Superstars, Divas and Hall of Famers, using the hashtag #WWECookies.
WWE.com picked the best submitted names, and our artists made your brands come to life … at least, on our website. (Sorry, no plans to see these on store shelves.)

Most of the WWE Universe has come up with their New Year’s resolutions. Maybe it’s to get healthier, quit a bad habit or something much bigger. Therefore, in the spirit of starting anew, WWE.com offers its suggested resolutions for certain Superstars and Divas.
Sheamus – As much as you may like the nickname “The Great White,” please hit the tanning salon early and often, to get a head start for Spring Break 2012!

WWE stars visit Anfield |
Two of the WWE’s biggest stars visited Anfield today ahead of their Smackdown World Tour show at the Liverpool Echo arena.
Sheamus and Ted DiBiase Jr took time out of their preparations for tonight’s event to take in a stadium and museum tour.
Both the competitors are fanatical football fans – but for Sheamus the experience held extra significance due an allegiance to LFC he’s held since growing up in Dublin.
“It’s been brilliant – I’ve felt like a little kid walking around,” he beamed when chatting to Liverpoolfc.tv. “I’ve just been in the museum and been around the whole stadium. Liverpool are the football club I’ve supported ever since I was a kid.
“I’ve always loved them. They had four great Irish players – Whelan, Houghton, Staunton and Aldridge. I particularly loved Ronnie Whelan, I thought he was a great player.
“My uncle was a big Liverpool fan and he’d always come over to our house and bring me video tapes. I remember picking up the official history of Liverpool FC video, which ran from the very beginning until just after we won the double (in 1986). I must have watched that tape about twice a day – it was great.
“It gave me great inspiration and I fell in love with the history of the club and everything about it – and the rest is history.
“That’s what I was drawn towards and in the school playground I’d be pretending to be my favourite player. It’s really special for me to be here.”
The duo enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Anfield, which included a trip to the home-team dressing room, a walk down the world-famous tunnel and a chance to sit in the Kop.
And, as an extra treat, the WWE stars were allowed the chance to get their hands on Old Big Ears herself, the European Cup – much to their delight.
“This is unbelievable – it’s a real treat for me,” said DiBiase. “I know this was Sheamus’s trip, but today is also my birthday.
“Sheamus knows I love football and grew up playing it. I was heavily involved in it back home in the States and almost made the national team at one point, so this is great.
“It’s a huge deal because it’s the first time we’ve filmed a TV show from Liverpool. It’s going to be viewed in 145 different countries.
“It’s exciting because our European fans, and our fans in Liverpool especially, are super fun to perform in front of. There’s always a great atmosphere and it’s always a real treat for us as performers.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I know tickets are still available, so if anyone out there wants to come they’ve still got a chance – but it won’t last long.”
Sheamus added: “It’s great to be coming back to Liverpool. We’ve been here a couple of times for live events, but now we’re doing television here. It’s always a big deal for us to come over to the UK, especially for me as I am from Dublin. It’s very special.”

WWE.com: Sheamus is ‘kicking’ Christian out of contention |
For months now, Christian has been telling anyone who would listen that he deserves “one more match” for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, in light of the numerous setbacks he has suffered at the hands of Sheamus in recent weeks, perhaps the disgruntled Superstar should instead turn his focus to The Celtic Warrior – before there is nothing left of him to challenge a World Champion.
On the Sept. 9 edition of SmackDown, Sheamus emerged to ridicule Christian’s continued insistence that he deserves another title opportunity, calling him a “mangy dog” and ordering him out of the ring. When the angry Superstar returned to exact revenge during his Irish foe’s match, Sheamus nearly took him out with the Celtic Cross.
One week later, Christian & Wade Barrett lost a tag team match to Sheamus & Justin Gabriel. Although it was Gabriel who got the pin on Barrett, “The Great White” invited his fuming adversary back into the ring to finish things between them. Christian, a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, would lose major ground in the eyes of those picking the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title by not rising to the challenge.
Two days later at Night of Champions, Sheamus interrupted yet another plea for “one more match,” blasting his complaining prey with an earth-shattering Brogue Kick. Although this may have made things beautiful in Buffalo for the WWE Universe, it continued to lower Christian’s appearance as a serious challenger for the World Title.
His descent was only hastened one day later on Raw SuperShow, when Sheamus’ Four-Man Tag Team reigned supreme over the team that included his irate adversary.
When Christian did finally get “one more match” against the newly-crowned World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry – a Lumberjack Match on the Sept. 23 edition of SmackDown – the first Irish-born WWE Champion was there to halt his escape one more time.
This led the outmatched challenger not only to get pinned by the enraged champion, but also suffer the devastating power of The World’s Strongest Slam.
It’s futile to assume that Christian’s constant rants for “one more match” have ended with his loss to Henry. However, before he goes down that road yet again, he might want to address the red-haired roadblock that continues to thwart his golden journey.
