Mean Gene Okerland is in the ring welcoming us to the Blast From The Past Smackdown. He introduces Sheamus as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus out to the ring to join Okerland. Sheamus is handed to the mic and Sheamus gives Okerland props for who he is. He starts talking about the code of honor and how he let everyone down. The ref made a bad decision and he broke down. He wants to publicly apologize to the ref, all the refs and everyone for what he’s done. He hopes they take the apologies from a red headed Irishman. He learns the hard way, and he learned…
Laurinaitis cuts Sheamus off and comes to the ring at this point. He tells Sheamus to not say a word, and shows video of what Sheamus did last week, including what Sheamus did to the ref. Laurinaitis turns and demands to know who Sheamus thinks he is. How dare Sheamus put his hands on his ref. He wants Sheamus to publicly apologize to the ref. Sheamus says he’s done that, that’s why he was out there. Laurinaitis claimed he didn’t hear Sheamus and do it again.
Sheamus apologized to Chad. Laurinaitis tells him to apologize to all the refs. Sheamus says he did. Laurinaitis didn’t hear it, do it again. So Sheamus does it again. Laurinaitis says it’s time to apologize to the world. Sheamus smirks, then does is. Laurinaitis says it’s not good enough. Sheamus is on permanent probation. If Sheamus touches a ref on purpose, or accident, he’s fired. He’s fining Sheamus the most ever in WWE history, $500,000. Laurinaitis is about to leave the ring and stops to say good luck to Sheamus in his match tonight. Sheamus will face ADR and D-Bry. Sheamus will be tagging with Mean Gene Okerland! Okerland doesn’t look happy.
Okerland doesn’t like their chances tonight. Sheamus is smiling, but must have something up their sleeve. Sheamus says they will lose. So why is Sheamus happy? Sheamus is not going to let Laurinaitis see them sweat, plus he’s tagging with Okerland! If they survive, Sheamus will buy the first round. Okerland says if? Sheamus says they will drink to remember, or drink to forget!
SHEAMUS & “MEAN” GENE OKERLUND vs. DANIEL BRYAN & ALBERTO DEL RIO
The heels quickly ganged up on Sheamus, with Bryan delivering rapid-fire kick strikes to the body before Sheamus cut him off with a sledgehammer. Sheamus then dumped Del Rio over the top rope to the floor, but missed with a Brogue Kick on Bryan. Bryan then dropkicked Sheamus to the outside, where Del Rio smashed Sheamus with a running kick. Cole told Okerlund to start getting ready because Sheamus is going to need to make a tag. Suddenly, the heels cornered Okerlund in the ring, then Ricardo entered the ring to taunt Okerlund.
Suddenly, Roddy Piper’s music played to bring out all of the scheduled Legends for the show. Cole wondered who opened up the door to the retirement home. All of the Legends assembled around the ring as Piper confronted D-Bryan on the ring apron. Piper told Bryan to turn around, then Bryan ate a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Sheamus with the pin for the win.
WINNERS: Sheamus & Okerlund
Fink ran to the ring, drawing comments from Cole, then the able-bodied Legends took turns giving Ricardo finishers. Cole said they must be close to being over because there’s a curfew at the retirement home. Mathews called it a feel-good moment to close the show. After a replay of the finish, Mathews noted Bryan vs. Sheamus for the World Title occurs in a few weeks at Extreme Rules. The Legends and Sheamus continued to celebrate in the ring before Michael Cole entered the ring. Cole said he knows they need to head back to the retirement home, but he thinks they should do a photo-op. The Legends took exception and gave Cole noogies as the crowd sat silently. Cole was then knocked out by Patterson, and Sheamus kicked the trash out of the ring, leaving Cole face-first on the floor. The Legends and Sheamus got their curtain call in the ring to close the show right at the top of the hour.

The Bellas fawned over Laurinaitis backstage. Except Nikki, who didn’t seem impressed. Sheamus walked in and as he did, Laurinaitis told Nikki to get ready for her match with Beth Phoenix – Brie has the night off. Nikki wasn’t happy with that. Sheamus asked Laurinaitis what “people power” even means, but Laurinaitis side-stepped it and said he wasn’t happy with Sheamus kicking Bryan’s head off at Mania when he wasn’t ready, and doing the same thing to ADR on Raw. Laurinaitis said he has instructed the referee to bring Sheamus and ADR face-to-face before the match. Sheamus said he’ll only kick the head off of people who deserve it. He told a parable of his cousin and it was comparable to Laurinaitis’ situation; and it did not end well for the cousin of Sheamus.
ALBERTO DEL RIO vs. SHEAMUS
Some quick exchanges early and Sheamus went to the top. His shoulder tackle didn’t connect but he rolled through and hit Del Rio with a forward roll with Del Rio on his shoulders. Del Rio was able to create separation and brought the arm of Sheamus down across the top rope. Back in the ring, Del Rio continued working over the arm of Sheamus. Sheamus missed a Brogue Kick and Del Rio rolled to ringside to regroup with Rodriguez at 2:48.
Back to action at 6:42. Sheamus nailed Del Rio with a shoulder tackle, propelling himself over the top rope to do so. Sheamus brought his forearms down hard across the chest of Del Rio. Del Rio held onto the ropes when Sheamus tried to bring him toward the middle of the ring, then low-bridged Sehamus on a charge. When Sheamus got onto the apron, Del Rio gave him an enziguiri to send Sheamus back to ringside. Del Rio tossed Sheamus into the ring steps. Back in the ring, a lateral press by Del Rio got only one. Del Rio continued to punish the arm of his opponent. Del Rio got caught charging at Sheamus, and he paid with a back-breaker. Both men were down at 10:11 of the match. Sheamus made his comeback and powerslammed Del Rio. Rodriguez distracted Sheamus by standing on the bottom rope, so Sheamus kicked the rope and Rodriguez flew into the ring. A chair was brought in by Del Rio and Sheamus picked it up. The ref turned around from getting Rodriguez out of the ring in time to see Sheamus with the chair. Del Rio sold that Sheamus hit him with it and the ref DQ’d Sheamus.
WINNER: Del Rio, via DQ, at 11:31.
After the match, Rodriguez happily proclaimed Del Rio the winner. Sheamus Brogue Kicked the referee in anger. Sheamus seethed as he started at Del Rio and Rodriguez, who were in the aisle, as the show went off the air.

Sheamus out to the ring. Before he can talk Alberto Del Rio comes out in a Mercedes MacLaren SLS with Ricardo announcing him from the stage. ADR to the ring and he gets heat. He says Sheamus won the World Heavyweight Championship and did it in record time, 18 seconds. Huge “Daniel Bryan” chants from the fans. No one will remember that in a month. He’ll lose the Title as fast as he won it. He won’t hide behind the chicka.
Sheamus says it’s great to see him again. He’s delighted to see him, the fans don’t want to hear him go on and on, they want to see him brogue kick him in the face. This will give him a chance to show them something they will never forget.
ADR isn’t looking for a fight, he already has one. Laurinaitis gave him a match on Smackdown. When he wins that, he will get a Title shot. “Daniel Bryan” chants. ADR is talking and his mic goes off. ADR gets pissy about it and turns to get another mic from Ricardo. He grabs the mic and turns into a brogue kick. Sheamus celebrates on the ramp as Ricardo tends to ADR.

Sheamus comes out first followed by Daniel Bryan who is accompanied by AJ Lee. Daniel does his “Yes, Yes, Yes” gimmick down the ramp and into the ring.
AJ is on the apron and Bryan asks for a good luck kiss. When he turns around Sheamus hits the Brogue kick and pins him for the three count.

MIAMI –The Superstars and Divas continued to give back to the Miami community during WrestleMania XXVIII Week. John Cena, Sheamus and Layla hosted the annual pizza party for the more than 40 children and families from Make-A-Wish Foundation and WWE’s Circle of Champions at Jungle Island Saturday.
Cena, a Make-A-Wish Ambassador and previous recipient of the prestigious Chris Greicius Celebrity Award, is quickly nearing a record 300 wishes. At Jungle Island, Cena, along with Sheamus and Layla, presented this year’s Wish kids with their WWE Circle of Champions plaques at Jungle Island.
As he mentioned during Wednesday’s WrestleMania Press Conference, the Cenation Leader has been looking forward to Saturday’s pizza party for quite some time. At the press conference, Cena talked about the amazing “power of the wish,” and the smiling faces of Saturday’s Wish kids certainly confirmed that sentiment. Amongst those smiling faces was Dylan, a very special personal guest of the Cenation Leader.
After enjoying their pizza lunch Saturday afternoon, faces around the room lit up as Cena, Sheamus and Layla arrived at Jungle Island. The Superstars got to work immediately, handing out special WWE Circle of Champions Certificates plaques to each Wish kid.
Upon his arrival to the event, a smiling Cena said, “I’m so glad everyone could be here to enjoy Jungle Island. And Sheamus.” Layla was also thrilled to be a part of today’s Make-A-Wish event, and she had nothing but praise for the organization. “Everyone wants a dream to come true and the Make-A-Wish Foundation does that for these kids.”
While the Make-A-Wish pizza party is a yearly tradition, Saturday’s festivities marked the first time that the event was held outdoors, a nice touch thanks to the beautiful Miami weather.
As another added bonus, the “Hardcore Legend” himself, Mick Foley, just so happened to be at Jungle Island, enjoying the venue with his family. Foley, who is always generous with his time, couldn’t resist stopping by the party to say hello and make new friends. Foley’s constant grin said everything there is to say about events such as this one.
Even with his epic match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan looming tomorrow at WrestleMania XXVIII, The Celtic Warrior was all smiles today, saying, “I’m proud to be a part of the Make-A-Wish celebration. This is an incredible charity and an incredible organization.” Sheamus added, pointedly, “The kids have been great.” The Cenation Leader agreed, stating, “Every guest is special.”
Layla talked about some of the kids she met Saturday, saying, “Bradley was a charmer. He gave the best hugs.” She added, “I got a couple of kisses which I was really, really happy about!”
Sheamus and Layla also got the chance to hang out with some animal friends at Jungle Island and introduce them to the Wish kids. Sheamus described the scene, saying, “I picked up a four-year-old gator named Rambo!” Layla even got a parrot named Hilo to eat a grape from her mouth.
As the day’s festivities started to wind down, Sheamus said, “I’m proud to be a part of Make-A-Wish today and I hope to do many, many more.”
In addition to meeting their favorite Superstars at Saturday’s pizza party, this year’s Wish kids will also watch The Show of Shows together Sunday night at Sun Life Stadium where they’ll be on hand to witness John Cena’s historic bout against The Rock.
Over the past 25 years, WWE has granted more than 3,500 wishes (and counting) with Make-A-Wish Foundation, putting smiles on the faces of Wish children and their families.

MIAMI - Up to 50 Make-A-Wish kids and other children from various wish-granting agencies across the world, and their families, were treated to a private autograph signing with Sheamus, Big Show and Divas Champion Beth Phoenix Friday afternoon during WrestleMania Week. The children enjoyed autographs, photos and a chance to meet with their favorite Superstars.
Eli, timid at first, quietly told the Divas Champion that he was looking forward to Rock vs. Cena on Sunday, as well as seeing Triple H end Undertaker’s amazing WrestleMania streak. “I’m curious about the ending to that, too,” The Glamazon replied with a smile on her face.
Big Show was treated to Bradley, a proud member of the Cenation, happily waving “U Can’t See” to The World’s Largest Athlete. The giant shared some laughs and was more than happy to take pictures.
Coming all the way from Ireland, Dylan was really excited to meet Sheamus. He even brought his Irish flag with him. “Am I allowed to sign the Irish flag?” Big Show smiled. “I’m Irish too, you know!” Dylan’s mom was touched by the moment as well. “The power of a wish,” she said with tears in her eyes.
Sheamus was equally excited to meet Dylan.
“Each kid is special and touched my heart in their own way,” he said. “There were so many amazing kids and families.” But The Great White also noted that all of the kids he met wanted him to Brogue Kick World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania, to which he replied, “I’m going to do everything I can to make that come through.”
Big Show observed how events like this really is what WrestleMania is about. “It’s about our fans and our relationship with them,” an emotional Big Show said. “We give back and they give us so much in return.”
Phoenix was truly touched by spending the evening with such inspirational children and families.
“It’s an opportunity to give back to these great kids dealing with big problems,” The Glamazon explained. “This puts it all in perspective – what’s important in life. It’s an honor to be a part of Make-A-Wish.”
Throughout the past 25 years, WWE has granted more than 3,500 wishes (and counting) with Make-A-Wish Foundation, putting smiles on the faces of Wish children and their families.
